The tournament will be played at the Northside Recreational Field in Saratoga Springs , NY . This is a residential area located next to the Skidmore College athletic fields. Please be courteous to our neighbors and respect their property. 22 min halves, unlimited subs. All other USA Rugby Rules will apply.

Food, Beverages, Water: Bring your own. We will not be selling food, water etc at the field. All Saratoga Springs parks have a no alcohol policy.

Parking: Please obey all parking regulations. They will ticket your vehicle if parked illegally.

Directions:

1. Take Route 87 North, Adirondak Northway,to Saratoga Springs Exit 15.
2. Take a left on to Route 50 go about 1 mile.
3. Take a right on to East Ave.
4. Take a left on Broadway and then a right on 1st Street.
5. 3 blocks down on the right is the North side Recreational Field Adjacent to Skidmore College's Sports Complex.

Take I90, the Thruway, to the Herkimer exit
Turn left after the tollbooths
Turn Right onto Rt 5S West
Follow until ou see the Herkimer County Fairgrounds on your right
Exit 5S, turn right, and you are there

Turn Right to take ramp onto RT-5S W - go 8.7 miles
Turn Left on JOHN ST
Turn Right on BLEECKER ST - go 0.2 miles
Continue on LAFAYETTE ST - go 0.5 miles
Bear Left on VARICK ST
Nail Creek is near Court Street

Saratoga rugby will be practcing starting July 6th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 8pm at Shenantaha Park, on Eastline Road (Ballston Spa).

The summer season will be focused on tournament play. Check under schedule to see the planned matches.

Practices will include some fitness and touch rugby to keep in shape before the summer season begins in July.

                                                             The Saratoga Stampede Rugby Football Club was established at a pub in Saratoga, NY in November of 2005. With a full 2006 schedule, a General Membership Meeting was held on January 16th, yielding a turn-out of 35 interested ruggers of mixed experience (many years to none). The first spring practice was held on March 21, 2006, in preparation for the April 1st intrasquad Garnet & Gold Game. Saratoga Rugby played its first game on April 8, 2006 @ Rutland RFC, tied its first home game against Albany Law RFC on April 23rd, 2006 and notched its first win vs. Saranac RFC on May 20, 2006. Its first home victory came against Rutland on September 9, 2006.
